Project Overview – Diesel Fire Pump Repair and Component Replacement

Upon receiving the client’s Purchase Order (PO), our team carried out repair and replacement works on the diesel engine-driven fire pump at FT Sei Siak, Pekanbaru, Indonesia. The scope of work included the repair and replacement of the Macab instrument board and the replacement of the diesel engine stop solenoid. These components play an important role in engine monitoring, operational control, and engine shutdown functionality. The work was performed to address the existing equipment issues and restore the diesel fire pump engine to proper operating condition, supporting the reliability and readiness of the facility’s fire protection system.
Repair and Replacement Process in Accordance with Applicable NFPA Standards
The repair and replacement activities were performed with reference to applicable NFPA requirements and relevant manufacturer recommendations, considering the specific equipment configuration and scope of work. The Macab instrument board was repaired or replaced as required, while the engine stop solenoid was replaced to restore the engine’s shutdown control function. Following installation, the components were checked, and operational tests were conducted to verify their functionality and integration with the diesel engine system. The maintenance activities proceeded smoothly, and the repaired and replaced components operated properly during the subsequent functional checks.
Conclusion – Successful Restoration of Diesel Engine Performance
The repair and replacement works at FT Sei Siak, Pekanbaru, were completed successfully, with satisfactory operational test results. Following the maintenance activities, the diesel engine returned to normal operating condition, and its performance was restored to a satisfactory level. The successful restoration of the Macab instrument board and engine stop solenoid supports the operational reliability of the diesel engine-driven fire pump.
