Fire Pumps Repair Services – PT. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper Perawang
On March 6th 2026, PT Pro Engineering Utama Carrying out repairs to 1 unit of fire pump ST-04B PT INDAH KIAT PULP PERAWANG, Repair work was carried out on 1 (one) unit of fire pump with tag number ST-04B located at PT. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper, Perawang. The activity aimed to restore the pump’s performance and ensure compliance with fire protection system requirements.
Scope of Work
The scope of work included detailed inspection, fault identification, and corrective repair of the fire pump system. Activities covered mechanical and operational checks such as pump alignment, coupling condition, lubrication system, and verification of associated components. Any defective or worn parts identified during inspection were repaired or replaced to meet operational standards.
Inspection and Findings
Initial inspection indicated that the fire pump experienced performance degradation, which required corrective maintenance. Observations included irregular operation parameters and component wear. Further evaluation was conducted to determine the root cause and ensure all deficiencies were addressed in accordance with NFPA guidelines. Corrective actions were implemented, including necessary repairs, component adjustments, and system recalibration. All work was carried out following standard procedures and in line with NFPA 20 recommendations for fire pump systems.
Testing and Commissioning
Upon completion of repairs, functional testing was conducted to verify pump performance. The fire pump was tested under operational conditions to confirm that pressure, flow, and overall system response met the required performance criteria. Based on the inspection, repair, and testing results, the fire pump unit ST-04B is now operating within acceptable parameters and is considered ready for service. The system is deemed compliant with applicable standards and suitable to support the facility’s fire protection system.
