On November 17, 2024, PT. Pro Engineering Utama was entrusted with an important task to inspect the fire pump at PT. Bhumi Jepara Service in Jepara. This inspection was carried out in response to an issue they were facing, where a fault alarm on the control panel was disrupting the fire pump system.
The fire pump is equipped with an advanced diesel engine using common rail technology. To diagnose the issue, we utilized state-of-the-art scantools, enabling us to accurately identify the problem. Additionally, we conducted a thorough inspection of the entire diesel engine system, including electrical components, sensors, actuators, and the Engine Control Module (ECM).
Moreover, the inspection included checking the installation of the fire pump system, from the water tank to the pump discharge. We verified the installation according to NFPA 20 standards, which is the international regulation for fire pump installations. After the inspection, we performed a performance test on the pump unit to ensure its reliability and operational readiness.
