Fire Pump Diesel Engine Repair at PT. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper – Perawang

On February 1, 2024, PT. Pro Engineering Utama successfully completed repairs on the fire pump at PT. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper, Perawang. This project was carried out in response to several issues identified with the diesel engine used to power the fire pump.

The issues included oil leaks at various points on the diesel engine and damage to the pump control system, which prevented the pump from operating automatically in the event of a fire. Additionally, the diesel engine could not be turned off due to damage to its control instruments. There was also a problem with the battery charging system, which caused the battery to continuously drop, compromising the reliability of the fire pump.

PT. Pro Engineering Utama performed an overhaul of the diesel engine, replaced damaged components, and repaired the system to ensure the fire pump could operate optimally in an emergency. After completing the repairs, our team conducted a performance test on the pump unit and an automatic test to ensure that the entire system was functioning normally and ready for use when needed.
