Maintenance Fire Pump – PT. PLN Enjiniring CGN Plant Bangkanai, Muara Teweh

On October 12, 2024 PT. Pro Engineering Utama carried out maintenance work on the diesel fire pump at PT. PLN Enjiniring CNG Plant in Bangkanai, Muara Teweh. The maintenance activities were performed to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of the fire protection system, in compliance with NFPA 25 regulations for fire pump maintenance.

Scope of Work

The maintenance tasks included:

1. Replacement of Pressure Cap Heat Exchanger – Ensuring proper pressure regulation in the cooling system.

2. Replacement of Hose Reducer Heat Exchanger – Maintaining efficient coolant flow within the heat exchanger.

3. Replacement of Hose HE to Thermostat HSG – Ensuring reliable coolant circulation.

4. Replacement of Thermostat – Regulating engine temperature to prevent overheating.

5. Replacement of Fuel Filter – Ensuring clean fuel delivery and preventing blockages.

6. Replacement of Oil Filter – Protecting engine components by maintaining clean oil circulation.

7. Replacement of Alternator Belt – Ensuring proper alternator operation for charging and electrical performance.

8. Replacement of Injection Nozzle Including Washer – Enhancing fuel injection efficiency.

9. Replacement of Water Pump + Gasket – Maintaining optimal coolant flow and preventing leaks.

10. Replacement of Coolant – Preventing overheating and corrosion within the cooling system.

11. Replacement of Tube & Tee Fitting – Ensuring secure and leak-free connections.

12. Replacement of Rocker Arm Cover Gasket – Preventing oil leaks from the rocker arm assembly.

13. Replacement of Sender Oil Pressure – Monitoring and regulating oil pressure for engine protection.

14. Performance Test – Diesel Fire Pump – Verifying the diesel pump’s capability to deliver adequate flow and pressure.

15. Performance Test – Electric Fire Pump – Ensuring the electric pump’s reliability under operational conditions.
