On October 16th, 2025, PT Pro Engineering Utama conduct performance tests at LPG Cilacap
The performance test of the Aurora L fire pump, rated at 3000 gallons per minute (GPM), was conducted to verify its compliance with operational standards and to ensure its readiness for field deployment. The assessment focused on three primary parameters: engine rotational speed, thermal stability, and hydraulic performance (flow and pressure). All testing procedures were executed under controlled conditions to maintain measurement accuracy and ensure alignment with standard performance evaluation protocols.
During the evaluation, the pump engine operated at a stable 2100 RPM, which represents the designated speed required to achieve maximum hydraulic output. At this RPM, the recorded engine temperature reached 80°C, indicating normal and acceptable thermal performance. This temperature measurement confirms that the cooling and lubrication systems were functioning properly, with no indications of thermal stress or irregular heat buildup throughout the test duration.
Hydraulic performance results demonstrated that the pump achieved the required operational benchmarks. The measured flow rate reached 3000 GPM, attaining 100% of its rated capacity, which verifies optimal impeller efficiency and unobstructed water passage. The discharge pressure was recorded at 156 psi, corresponding to 97% of the expected rated pressure. While slightly below maximum specification, this value remains within acceptable performance tolerance for operational readiness. Overall, the performance test confirms that the Aurora L fire pump is functioning efficiently and remains suitable for active service.
